Cultural-educational event ȘEZĂTOAREA VICOVENILOR will commence on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 2 PM at Casa de Cultură Laura, Vicovu de Sus.
On the first day of the gathering, artistic programs will be presented by the students of Școala Gimnazială Nr. 2 Laura-Vicovu de Sus, the students from the Special School Bivolărie, and the members of the Vocal Group Floricele Vicovene. Members of the Flori Vicovene Ensemble, led by Liliana Ursachi, will perform following that. Starting at 5 PM, artistic moments will be presented by: Călin Brăteanu and the Obcina Band, Măriuca Verdeș, and the Grupul Rădăcinilor străbune from Maramureș, Maria Iliuț and the Crenguță de iederă Ensemble from Moldova, Didi Cojocariu, Ioana Filip, Viorel Pitic, Mihai Asăvoaie, Daria Crețu, Alexandru Cozaciuc, Diana Hrihor, and Maria Țugui.
On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, the program will kick off at 2 PM with performances by the vocal group Datini Mărginene and a group representing Școala Gimnazială Nr. 3 Plai-Vicovu de Sus. Artists performing on the second day of the Șezătorii vicovenilor include: Loredana Călin from Botoșani, Ancuța Cozma from Mureș, Alina Ceuca and Silviu Ionuț Avram from Bistrița, Diana Lungu, Georgeta Schipor, Viorel Pitic, Alexandru Cozaciuc, the Florin Mucea Band, and the Flori Vicovene Ensemble.
ȘEZĂTOAREA VICOVENILOR is a cultural event that promotes and valorizes elements of the oral traditional culture from the ethnographic subzone of Rădăuți, the Vicov folk hearth.
This event, now in its fourth edition, will be held from February 11 to 14, 2025, from 2 PM to 10 PM, and is organized by the Cultural Association Flori Vicovene in partnership with the City Hall of Vicovu de Sus. A traditional costume is the mandatory attire.
